The area
Mababe lies within Chobe National Park along the wild passage between Khwai and Savuti. Its open country, seasonal water and lower-density feel create the space to follow wildlife stories without rushing.
Rewarding year-round, with particularly concentrated wildlife during the dry season and rich colour after summer rains.
The wildlife
Large elephant and buffalo herds attract lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah and hyena. Sightings often unfold across open plains with room to observe behaviour.
